Community sensitive design Design that fits the community Throughout the US 41 Project WisDOT will use a process called community sensitive design. This practice has recently and successfully been used along the Marquette Interchange in Milwaukee County. CSD involves the aesthetic design of retaining walls, bridges, landscapes, and sound walls. Designs use colors and patterns that weave the transportation project into the community’s architectural, cultural, historical and environmental fabric. This process ensures a project that everyone takes pride in.    |
